According to Education Secretary David Blunkett, 'In the coming decades the economy will need more people with the ability to think creatively, to apply these skills to complex management and technical problems.' This challenge was at the heart of Design in Education Week 2000, the Design Council's annual forum for debate about design education and design in education.
